2. Robert Muldoon – Jurassic Park

In terms of the Jurassic Park franchise, Robert Muldoon’s name is far from the most memorable. In fact, his character is probably best remembered for his repeated utterances of the phrase “clever girl”.
Muldoon was the original Jurassic Park’s game warden, described by John Hammond as “a bit of an alarmist”. Well, this particular “alarmist” was entirely correct in his concerns about the park’s safety, and when he was proven right by the escape of the park’s dinosaurs, Muldoon proved himself a hero.
Instead of shouting “I told you so!” into the face of the half-digested corpse of John Hammond, Muldoon steps up to try to get the situation under control. Not only does he not revel in his vindication, but he actively works with the eccentric billionaire that ignored his valid opinion in order to rescue the children and scientists endangered by his employer.
Risking his own life, Muldoon goes up against numerous dinosaurs before meeting his ultimate fate at the hands of the raptors whose intelligence he so respected. Not only was Robert Muldoon the hero of the first Jurassic Park film, but he died a hero’s death for his trouble.
Most fellow readers of LOTR tend to believe Sam is the main character of the entire story. He is considered a ring bearer and does eventually leave the for undying lands. His worth and perception in the entire story is more inline with the reader than say Frodo.
