1. Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse (2018)

When it came down to naming the best Spider-Man movie of all time, there was no question that it should be Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Much like No Way Home, Into the Spider-Verse tells the story of multiple iterations of the hero, introducing a young Miles Morales after he develops his own Spider-powers. When the Peter Parker of Miles’ own universe is killed, a group of vastly different Spider-Men/-Women/-Robots/-Animals all appear from throughout the Multiverse.
With a voice cast of staggeringly talented proportions and a genuinely gorgeous style of animation, Into the Spider-Verse is not just the best Spider-Man movie, but one of the best animated movies ever made. With specific quirks of animation designed to communicate each character’s personality and the overall feel of the film created to feel like a comic book come to life, Into the Spider-Verse is a triumph of modern cinema. It also tells a touching coming-of-age story of heroism that offers a new look at Spider-Man as a character through the eyes of Miles Morales.
It’s hard to express exactly how great Into the Spider-Verse truly is, but anyone who has seen it will understand that it’s number one here by a wide margin. There’s no live-action Spider-Man movie that comes anywhere close to the quality of Into the Spider-Verse, which really does make perfect sense when you consider the fantastical nature of the hero’s story. What makes Into the Spider-Verse so great is its versatility: there’s something for everyone, and every single Spider-Man fan will be able to take something away from the film’s story.
