3. Martin Short – The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause (2006)
For fans of comedy movies, Martin Short is nothing short of a legend. His work in films alongside Steve Martin is legendary, and he has appeared in a spate of successful movies over the course of his long and storied career. However, many forget that he has also appeared in multiple Christmas movies.
Short’s most significant Christmas movie role came in The Santa Clause 3, where he played the villainous Jack Frost alongside Tim Allen’s Santa Claus. He also voiced a character in the animated movie Elliot the Littlest Reindeer. So why is it that so few people remember Short’s Christmas credits?
Naturally, in a voice role, it’s all too easy to forget which actors contributed to a film. In The Santa Clause 3, Short wears extensive make-up and prosthetics for his role as Jack Frost, masking his identity somewhat. Even so, for an actor as beloved as Martin Short, you’d think that his Christmas efforts would be better remembered.
