2. Titanic (1997) – Jack Is A Time Traveler

One of the most widespread fan theories out there is this particular spin on James Cameron’s Titanic which posits that Jack (Leonardo DiCaprio) is actually a time traveler.

The theory actually stems from a number of historical anachronisms in the film, such as Jack referring to places that didn’t exist in 1912 (when Titanic was set), and carrying equipment that wasn’t invented until decades later. The theory also elaborates that Jack needing to gamble to win the ticket at the start of the film is because he didn’t have any currency from that time period, having just traveled back from whenever it was he was originally from (judging from his haircut, that would be the ’90s).

One further historical inaccuracy piece of evidence for the theory include Jack’s cigarettes (which are filtered, something that didn’t exist until the 1940s). All of these combined do seem to validate this theory considerably, particularly as Jack seemingly appears from nowhere to board the Titanic and save Rose from committing suicide and then from drowning when the ship sinks.
