1. Everyone – The Fast & Furious Franchise
The Fast & Furious franchise’s massive transformation is both intriguing and well-documented, but what about its characters? With an ever-growing cast (or “family”, if you will), the franchise’s list of characters has gotten pretty long. Over the years, there’s hardly a single main character who hasn’t undergone big changes along with the films themselves.
Take Paul Walker’s Brian O’Conner, for example. First, he’s a cop who struggles to lock away his new friends. Then, he’s willing engaging in reckless criminal behavior, dropping any pretense that he ever intended to uphold the law. The same can be said of Dwayne Johnson’s Luke Hobbs and (retroactively) Gal Gadot’s Gisele.
There’s also Dominic Toretto’s inexplicable transformation into a vehicular superhero. Though he’s introduced as a criminal who loves cars, over the span of several films, he becomes a seemingly-invincible figure capable of defying physics at will and smashing through concrete with his bare hands. In short, there’s no franchise whose characters have changed as drastically as Fast & Furious‘s, and at this point, we’re kind of loving the ridiculousness of the spectacle.
