6. Julie Andrews – Eloise at Christmastime (2003)

Julie Andrews is cinema royalty. Just hearing her name evokes the spirit of Mary Poppins and The Sound of Music, or any of her other equally iconic roles. What it doesn’t evoke (at least, for most people), is the Eloise franchise.
Eloise at Christmastime is a made-for-TV movie based on the Eloise series of children’s books. It stars Sofia Vassilieva as the six-year-old titular character who receives a package of spy equipment from a friend. It also stars Julie Andrews as Eloise’s (presumably long-suffering) nanny.
It’s hardly surprising that a film like Eloise at Christmastime would fly under the radar for an actor with a career as prestigious as Andrews’. Though it’s far from one of Andrews’ most respected or well-received movies, but it is sort of in-keeping with her established image. After all, it’s a family film where she plays a caregiver, so it’s certainly in her wheelhouse.
