1. Carla Gugino
In spite of the fact that she’s instantly recognizable to audiences of almost any age, Carla Gugino is remarkably underrated. Her career really kicked off with her role in the Spy Kids franchise, but the roles she has played since should have cemented her as one of the most dependable talents in Hollywood. However, in spite of this, she continues to sit comfortably just shy of the A-list, and this does a great disservice to Gugino’s talent.
Looking over her career, a handful of credits stand out as proof that she’s incredibly underrated. Not only has she consistently shared the screen with acting legends, but she’s managed to outshine them in certain cases. Her performance in the Stephen King adaptation Gerald’s Game was perhaps her best, but she has any number of impressive and memorable credits to her name.
For some reason, Carla Gugino is left off of most lists documenting the most talented actors in Hollywood. However, she commands a remarkable presence on-screen and has played numerous memorable roles over her career so far, proving that she deserves far more recognition for her talents. The sheer amount of impressive titles Gugino has appeared in combined with the fact that she’s so rarely a part of the conversation contribute to the idea that she’s one of the most underrated actors working in Hollywood.
