6. Wonder Woman’s Plea To Superman
Justice League (2017)

Let’s start this one by saying that Gal Gadot makes an excellent Wonder Woman. Her physicality and her ability to project both innocence and resilience makes her brilliant in the role. Even so, her dramatic chops leave a huge deal to be desired.
This occasionally leads to the worst kind of cringe-worthy moment – one that should be impactful. Upon resurrecting Superman, the Justice League discover that he seems to be missing his humanity. As he begins to attack them, Diana exclaims: “Kal-El, no!” It’s an unintentionally hilarious moment that by rights should have been a powerfully emotional plea from a commanding figure.
The problem is mostly Gadot’s delivery of the line. It’s said with all the conviction of a colleague reprimanding the puppy you asked them to dogsit. It’s as though she doesn’t really have the energy to deal with Kal-El and his naked alien nonsense, and it just makes the scene embarrassingly funny.
