4. Enchantress Belly Dancing

Suicide Squad (2016)

Cara Delevigne as Enchantress in Suicide Squad (2016)

Very few people consider Suicide Squad a good movie. It’s not entirely without positives, but it’s certainly lacking in a number of ways. Perhaps the most obvious of which is that hardly a single scene comes off as intended: the comedy falls flat and the more serious moments look ridiculous.

We’ll put aside Jared Leto’s ill-informed Joker, but the film’s main antagonist, Enchantress, is equally laughable. The script does her no favors, and Cara Delevigne’s performance leaves a lot to be desired. However, the worst moment of all comes during her world-ending conjuration. As she’s performing the spell intended to… create a big black cloud or something equally ominous, she starts to dance.

Enchantress engaging in a bit of light belly-dancing as she’s trying to end the world is every bit as weird as it sounds. Whoever decided it would be a good idea clearly didn’t think it through (or watch it back in post, we’re assuming). It’s a moment so bizarre and laughable that it can only be considered cringe-worthy.
