3. Flash Falls On Wonder Woman
Justice League (2017)

Though Zack Snyder’s Justice League has its cringe-worthy moments, the theatrical cut – simply titled Justice League – is actually worse. In what is one of the most cringe-worthy DCEU moments of all time, the Flash trips and falls while speeding around a battle against Steppenwolf’s Parademons. The problem is that he falls directly on top of Wonder Woman, with his face squarely resting on her chest.
Naturally, it’s written to be as awkward as possible, with the neurotic young Flash feeling uncomfortable about the situation. Not only is it not anywhere near as funny as it was clearly intended to be, but it’s actually pretty problematic. Cringe-inducing though it may be, it actually gets worse.
Shortly after the release of the film, director Joss Whedon was accused of abusive and misogynistic behavior. Considering the unpleasant way he’s reported to have treated multiple women – including Gal Gadot – the moment somehow becomes even less funny. The most laughter it’s likely to induce is a small uncomfortable chuckle at the twisted irony in the scene’s inclusion.
