2023 has been a big year for cinema, with many unexpected failures and successes. However, looking ahead, there’s lots to be excited about over the coming 12 months, with several enticing releases scheduled. Here are Corner of Film’s most anticipated movies of 2024.
14. Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire
2024 will see the continuation of Legendary Pictures’ Monsterverse, with Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire scheduled for release. A sequel to 2021’s Godzilla Vs. Kong, the film will continue the franchise’s story, seeing the two titular characters join forces to combat a new threat facing planet Earth. Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire is set for release on April 12, 2024.
13. The Fall Guy
2024 will also see the release of The Fall Guy, a comedy based on the 1980s TV series of the same name starring Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt. Gosling stars as Colt Seavers, a stuntman who is roped into helping recover the star of the film being made by his ex-girlfriend (and current boss). An action comedy combining the talents of several big Hollywood talents, The Fall Guy is set for release on May 3.
