2. Spider-Man: Beyond The Spider-Verse
Though a specific release date has yet to be confirmed, Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse is still currently set for a 2024 release. The film will conclude the story of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, following the final stage of Miles Morales’ journey across the Multiverse, picking up from the previous movie’s cliffhanger ending. The film has already been subject to multiple delays, and is suspected to suffer further as a result of the SAG-AFTRA strikes.
1. Joker: Folie À Deux
When it comes to our most anticipated movies of 2024, only one title could claim the top spot. That film is Joker: Folie à Deux, the musical sequel to Todd Phillips’ Academy Award-winning Joker. Joaquin Phoenix is set to reprise his role as Arthur Fleck, Gotham’s very own Clown Prince of Crime, and Lady Gaga will also star as Harley Quinn. Folie à Deux‘s status as a musical comic book movie makes it especially intriguing, particularly considering the combined talents of those involved. It is currently scheduled for release on October 4.
