Black Panther (2018)
According to many MCU fans, Black Panther ranks among the best MCU movies of all time. There won’t be any arguments here, but rather the assertion that it also features one of the most cringe-worthy MCU moments of all time. When meeting with his sister Shuri in Wakanda’s top scientific facility, King T’Challa is wearing traditional Wakandan garb. It’s not until he gets further into the facility and asks about one of Shuri’s inventions that the younger sibling drops one of the most unfunny jokes in the entire franchise.
Responding to T’Challa asking what something is, Shuri replies: “More importantly, WHAT ARE THOSE?!” To those not in the know, the line is a reference to a viral video that circulated the internet in which a person shamed another person’s choice of footwear. For some reason, Shuri decides to reference this when examining her brother’s sandals, making by far the most cringe-worthy moment ever committed to the MCU.
