3. Gluttony’s Meal – Se7en (1995)

Gluttony in Se7en

David Fincher’s Se7en made it into our Hall of Fame for a reason: it’s a classic. The Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman thriller follows two cops in a hellish urban metropolis hunting a serial killer basing his murders on the seven deadly sins. The film starts with one of John Doe’s victims, the man nicknamed Gluttony.

John Doe’s murder of the man involved force feeding him horrendous amounts of spaghetti. Over time, he not only became incredibly obese, but the sheer size of his rapidly growing stomach proved too much for his body. We’ll spare the grisly details, but basically, he was killed by his final meal.

It’s a disaster for an obvious reason. A man lost his life in a twisted and especially unpleasant manner, and it all came about as the result of an extended meal. Though the meal itself isn’t shown, the aftermath more than qualifies Gluttony’s final meal as one of the most horrific in movie history.
