4. In The Name Of The King: A Dungeon Siege Tale (2007)

Jason Statham in In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale

Uwe Boll has a lot to answer for. The popular fantasy franchise Dungeon Siege got the Boll treatment in 2007, despite the fact that the director had already managed to mangle multiple video game properties in the past. Despite excellent source material and a staggering cast, In the Name of the King holds a score of just 4% on Rotten Tomatoes.

The film stars action hero Jason Statham as a man named Farmer, with countless Hollywood legends also featuring. Still, even Burt Reynolds, Ray Liotta, Ron Perlman, and Matthew Lillard couldn’t help In the Name of the King. The film thoroughly bungles its handling of the Dungeon Siege franchise, and instead simply settles for poorly imitating the Lord of the Rings movies.

Bad acting, bad directing, and laughable special effects were all cited as major issues with the film. Uwe Boll even won a thoroughly-deserved Razzie for his trouble. It’s difficult to express how bad it really is, because it’s one of the worst cinematic experiences of all time.
