1. Alone In The Dark (2005)

No other man could claim the top spot – it’s Uwe Boll’s fourth (and worst) offense: Alone in the Dark. The 2005 action horror manages to offer laughable action and ridiculous horror, undermining even the genres it attempts to evoke. It’s not just a bad movie, but it’s hardly a movie at all – it’s so poorly put-together that it feels like an experimental form of narrative torture.
With Christian Slater and Tara Reid both clearly unimpressed with the film’s unintelligible script, Alone in the Dark manages to waste both of its stars. Countless scenes are so hammy and confusing that it’s genuinely difficult to understand Alone in the Dark‘s plot, and somehow that still seems to be a kindness. It’s actually so bad that it’s actually worth watching once just to behold the spectacle.
With a score of just 1% on Rotten Tomatoes, it’s truly the worst of all video game movies. It’s genuinely hard to find anyone with anything nice to say about Alone in the Dark, which is vaguely impressive in its own right. Still, we’d rather be torn apart by the film’s poorly-rendered CGI monsters than ever watch Alone in the Dark ever again.
