3. Nightwing

Nightwing is one of those heroes who just can’t seem to catch a break. Attempts at making a movie focused on the character have repeatedly stalled, and he’s yet to appear in any feature-length live-action movies. It’s a huge shame, too, because he’s one of DC’s best untapped properties.
Nightwing is the alter-ego of Dick Grayson, who adopts the name after leaving the mantle of Robin behind and moving away from Gotham City. Spending his days working as a cop, Grayson then spends his nights fighting crime as Nightwing, backed by Batman’s training (but without his massive wealth). He’s a hero attempting to move out of the shadow of his mentor, and that’s part of what makes him so compelling.
The reason Nightwing deserves his own movie is pretty simple. He’s a fascinating character with decades of history, and the grittiness and potential for realism in his story can’t be overstated. Titans already proved how well Nightwing can work in live action, and it’s about time he finally got his own movie.
