2. Vixen
Vixen might be a lesser-known DC hero, but she’s got bags of potential. She’s most commonly featured as a member of various teams in a more supporting role, but she could definitely carry her own movie. Vixen’s power set is uniquely brilliant, and could be translated into an epic cinematic outing.
Mari Jiwe McCabe is one of DC’s metahumans, with powers bestowed by the Tantu Totem. This allows Vixen to harness the spirit of any animal from the past or present in order to use its abilities. It’s a simple premise, but its potential speaks for itself.
The character appeared in live-action in the Arrowverse in an episode of Arrow, but has never been used as the lead of her own stories. The simplicity and scope of her abilities would be perfect for a movie adaptation, as well as offering an opportunity for greater representation in the superhero genre. In short, it’s hard to see how a Vixen movie could possibly fail, and hopefully she’ll appear in the DCU in the future.
